The contact form on this site sends a message directly to Matthew's email and does not persist data in this website's application code. The public site uses first-party, cookieless analytics (Umami, operated on infrastructure owned by Mental Wealth Solutions) to understand whether public pages are useful. It records page paths, rotating visit and visitor pseudonyms, referring site/campaign, coarse country/region/city, device/browser/operating-system/viewport class, page performance, active viewing time, scroll milestones, outbound-link host, and whether a form was started or submitted. It does not record form contents, typed text, names, email addresses, or clinical information. There are no advertising pixels, cross-site trackers, analytics cookies, persistent visitor identifiers in browser storage, or fingerprinting.
A small number of articles on this site also load a legacy, first-party traffic and security collector (hosted at traffic-tracker.matthewsextonlcsw.workers.dev) during a measured migration to the analytics above. It may receive the current page URL including its query string, page title, referrer, browser language, screen size, and viewport size; it does not receive form contents. Do not place clinical or other sensitive information in a website URL. This legacy collector is being retired page by page as the migration completes.
Ordinary analytics reports do not contain raw IP addresses. Network-level IP evidence used for security and diagnostics is isolated from marketing analytics, owner-restricted, and automatically deleted after no more than 30 days. Public website activity is never joined to clinical records. Do not submit clinical details through the public contact form.
Clinical care, once underway, is governed by HIPAA and is documented in a HIPAA-eligible electronic record system separate from this website. A Notice of Privacy Practices is provided to all clients at intake.
