Information you send
Inquiries sent through the website are emailed to the practice. The contact service processes the name, email address, state, and message you provide; the website application does not save inquiry content in a database. Messages may remain in the practice mailbox and its email provider’s systems.
Ordinary email is not a secure channel for health information. Keep inquiries brief and leave out clinical details. Arrange a secure way to communicate with the practice before sharing health information.
Website services
This website serves its fonts, images, video, and its own scripts from its own site. The only outside scripts are the two analytics tools described below. It does not include advertising pixels, analytics cookies, or third-party embeds.
Hosting and email providers may process technical information, such as IP addresses, requests, and delivery records, to operate and protect their services. This notice does not promise that server logs or email records are never retained.
Website analytics
Each page loads two analytics tools. The first is a script from analytics.mentalwealthsolutions.org. It is Umami, a cookieless analytics tool that Mental Wealth Solutions hosts itself. It counts page visits and measures page speed. It sets no cookies and saves nothing in your browser.
What the script sends: the page address (including anything after a “?”), the page title, the website that referred you (if any), your screen size, your browser language, and page-speed timings. Like any web request, it also reaches the analytics server with your IP address and your browser’s user-agent, which names your browser and device. On the way, it passes through Cloudflare, which connects that server to the internet.
What Umami keeps: the page details above; a rough location (country, region, and city) worked out from your IP address; your device type, browser, and operating system; and a visitor code made from your IP address and user-agent, scrambled with a key that changes at least once a month, so repeat visits can be counted without a cookie. Umami does not store the IP address itself. These page-visit records have no set deletion date.
A separate security log: before a visit reaches Umami, a small relay on the same server writes a line for each visit and measurement to a separate log: the time, your IP address, the page address, the referring website, and your browser’s user-agent. It is used for security review and traffic debugging, such as telling people apart from bots and spotting abusive requests. Each day’s log is deleted automatically after 30 days. If a specific security incident needs review, up to 20 entries may be kept for up to 90 days. The owner can look up an address’s approximate location and network provider on that server. IP addresses from this log are not copied into the page-visit records.
PostHog: each page also loads PostHog, an analytics service hosted in the United States (us.i.posthog.com), to see how pages are used. PostHog records page views, clicks (including which link was clicked), scrolling, and page errors. It does not record the screen, it never receives anything typed into forms, and the practice does not send it names or email addresses or link visits to a person. It sets no cookies: a random visit ID is kept only in that browser tab’s temporary storage and is deleted when the tab is closed. PostHog is set to discard IP addresses.
What is not sent: what you type into the contact form, your name, your email address, or anything clinical. Because page addresses are recorded, do not put private or clinical information in a website address.
Who can see it: only the owner of Mental Wealth Solutions, and the tools he operates on that server. There is one Umami account and no public report link. PostHog data is kept in the owner’s PostHog account, with no public report link. Website analytics are not connected to clinical records. You can block analytics.mentalwealthsolutions.org and us.i.posthog.com with a content blocker; the website works the same without them.
Links and appointments
Phone and email links open your chosen applications. Article references lead to external services with their own privacy policies. Sending a note is not an appointment confirmation.
Information and care
The writing is educational. It is not an assessment of you, a diagnosis, or a substitute for individual care. Reading this website or making an inquiry does not by itself establish a therapist-client relationship. Discuss consent, privacy, and care arrangements directly with the practice.
Accessibility and corrections
